Lovely gardens, friendly staff, good service in nice surroundings with lovely food. Ideal place to go with kids or just for a relaxed meal. My only critisism would be that the children's highchairs and the play area could do with a clean after each use/session. High chair needed cleaning before we could use it and the play area was a tad grubby and tired. A little TLC wouldn't go amiss. On the whole would recommend a visit
Less of a focus on good food and more of a focus on a easy child friendly and comfortable eating environment. With lots of beer on tap and 2 areas for kids to play it a nice place to bring kids for fun or if you don’t train your kids to sit at the table. The food is average. In America this would be chain restaurant quality or below. And not a good chain. So don’t expect amazing food. That being said even though I was not impressed with the food it was still easy and relaxing to eat here with a hoard of food options to pick from.

Absolutely love this place. I go there all the time with my friends for a delicious pizza and amazing cider (elderflower is the best). Live shows are nice too. PS J.K. Rowling comes in frequently for a pint. Lovely lady
You will not find better pizza anywhere in Exeter. There is a reason why this characterful venue has such a good reputation - so much so that you may struggle to find a seat later on in the evening, even on a weekday. The cajun and the chilli and lime chicken are my personal favourite pizza offerings (one is easily enough to satisfy the appetites of two adults, and they provide foil to take any leftovers home). They are also famous for their cider which they can add a wide array of delicious fruit syrups to upon request, and they have a good range of wine and a couple of decent lagers to boot. Even if you're only in Exeter for one evening this place is a must visit!
